If photos are unclear, incomplete or misleading, the guide price may not reflect the final cost.

If a customer is happy with their free guide price, the next step is to book a professional measuring survey.The professional measuring survey is designed to check the details required before a final measured quotation can be prepared.The survey may include, where relevant:Home visitTravel and appointment planningAdministration and preparationMeasuring doors and drawer frontsChecking panels, trims, plinths, fillers and finishing partsChecking appliance doors where applicableChecking hinge positions and general suitabilityPreparing a final measured quotationPreparing PDF survey documents where applicableThe survey is not a building inspection, structural survey, electrical inspection, plumbing inspection or installation service.Easy DIY Doors will measure and check the relevant areas for the purpose of preparing a supply quotation only.

4. Survey Fee and Payment

The professional measuring survey fee is £300.The £300 survey fee is payable upfront before the survey appointment is confirmed.Payment details will be provided once the survey appointment has been agreed.Your survey appointment is only confirmed once the £300 survey fee has been received.Easy DIY Doors is not required to attend a survey appointment until payment has been received in full.

5. Customer Agreement for Survey Work to Begin

By booking and paying for a professional measuring survey, you agree that Easy DIY Doors may begin arranging and carrying out the survey service straight away.This may include appointment booking, travel planning, administration, preparation and other work before the home visit takes place.Where the survey service begins within the usual 14-day cancellation period, you agree that Easy DIY Doors may start providing the service during that period.If the survey service has been fully completed, you understand that the survey fee will not be refunded unless Easy DIY Doors is unable to provide the service.

6. Cancelling a Professional Measuring Survey

If you wish to cancel a professional measuring survey, you must contact Easy DIY Doors as soon as possible.If you cancel before any survey-related work has started, Easy DIY Doors will refund the survey fee.If survey-related work has already started, Easy DIY Doors may retain a reasonable amount of the survey fee to cover work already carried out.Survey-related work may include appointment booking, travel planning, administration, preparation, travel, the home visit, measuring, checking and preparation of survey documents or quotation details.Once the home survey visit has taken place, or once the survey service has been completed, the £300 survey fee is non-refundable unless Easy DIY Doors is unable to provide the service.If Easy DIY Doors needs to cancel the survey and cannot offer a suitable alternative appointment, the survey fee will be refunded.

After the Professional Home Survey, Easy DIY Doors will prepare a final measured quotation using the measurements, quantities and project information recorded during the visit. No materials are ordered until the customer accepts the final quotation.

Following a professional measuring survey, Easy DIY Doors may prepare a final measured quotation.A final measured quotation is based on the details checked during the survey and any information provided by the customer.The final quotation may be different from the original guide price.No order is placed until the customer accepts the final quotation and makes the required payment.Easy DIY Doors reserves the right to correct genuine errors in pricing, measurements, product descriptions or calculations before an order is accepted.

9. Made-to-Measure Orders

Most products supplied by Easy DIY Doors are made to the customer’s specific requirements.This may include doors, drawer fronts, panels, trims, plinths, fillers and other finishing parts made to specific sizes, colours, finishes or specifications.Once a made-to-measure order has been accepted and placed into production, it cannot usually be cancelled or refunded because the customer has changed their mind.This does not affect your legal rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

10. Customer-Supplied Measurements

Where a customer chooses to supply their own measurements without using the Easy DIY Doors professional measuring survey, the customer is responsible for making sure those measurements are accurate.Easy DIY Doors is not responsible for goods being unsuitable because of incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.Customers should check all measurements carefully before placing an order.If goods are made correctly to the measurements supplied by the customer, Easy DIY Doors is not responsible if those goods do not fit.

Customers must check all order details carefully before confirming an order.This includes sizes, quantities, colours, finishes, hinge positions, handing, panels, trims, plinths, fillers and any other specifications.Once an order has been confirmed and placed into production, changes may not be possible.If a change is possible, it may result in extra costs and may delay the order.Easy DIY Doors is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by late changes requested by the customer.

16. Product Guarantee

Products supplied by Easy DIY Doors are covered by a six-year manufacturing guarantee against manufacturing faults and defects, unless stated otherwise in writing.The guarantee applies where the product has failed due to a manufacturing fault or product defect.The guarantee does not cover damage or failure caused by the customer, installer, existing units, site conditions or third parties.The guarantee will not apply where damage or failure is caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accidental damage, poor storage, exposure to excessive heat, steam, moisture, fire, kettle steam, heat-producing appliances, alterations, unsuitable existing units, poor ventilation, cleaning products, impact damage, water damage, or normal wear and tear.The guarantee may also be void if products have been cut, drilled, altered, fitted incorrectly, stored incorrectly, exposed to unsuitable conditions, or used for a purpose they were not supplied for.Customers should take reasonable care of all products and follow any care or maintenance guidance provided.Any product guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect your legal rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

19. Appliances, Hinges and Existing Fittings

Where appliance doors, hinges, hinge plates or existing fittings are involved, Easy DIY Doors will use reasonable care when checking requirements.However, some existing fittings, appliances or carcasses may vary, be damaged, discontinued, altered or unsuitable.Additional parts or changes may be required once fitting begins.Unless confirmed in writing, Easy DIY Doors is not responsible for appliance fitting, appliance faults, electrical work, plumbing work or modification of existing units.

20. Access for Survey Appointments

Customers must provide safe and reasonable access for survey appointments.The area to be surveyed should be accessible, clear and safe to measure.If the survey cannot be completed because access is unavailable, the customer is not present, the property is unsafe or the area is not ready, Easy DIY Doors may retain a reasonable amount of the survey fee for work and costs already incurred.Any charge for arranging a further appointment will be confirmed with the customer before it is booked.

21. Missed Appointments

If a customer misses a confirmed survey appointment or cancels after survey-related work, travel or preparation has started, Easy DIY Doors may retain a reasonable amount of the survey fee to cover work already carried out and costs already incurred.This is to cover time, travel planning, administration and loss of appointment availability.A replacement appointment may be offered, subject to availability, and any additional charge will be confirmed before it is booked.
